Bike ride raises funds

Tim Gilbert whose father was the commander of a submarine, took part in the Hayling-Le Mans Cycle Ride this year and raised £340 in aid of the Hayling RNLI Lifeboat Station.  Tims family were boat owners who never needed rescuing, but Tim wanted to support the lifesaving work of the local RNLI.  Receiving the cheque from Jill Hughes ( Tim’s partner),  the station manager Jonathan Bradbury said, ‘ We are very grateful for this donation as we realise the effort that went into completing the ride, the sponsorship for which funded this cheque.’
