The Coastguard alerted us to a request from the Hampshire Ambulance Service to go to a 61 year old lady who had fallen from the Chichester Harbour sea wall and broken her ankle. She had been walking from Emsworth and fell in a remote area near Coniger Point, Warblington, and the ambulance could not get to her.  The D-Class was launched as she can go into shallow water and soon located the lady who was being attended to by the paramedics. She was gently lifted onto the lifeboat and taken to the Pook Lane slipway where the ambulance could get close to her. She was taken into the ambulance and whisked off to hospital, leaving the lifeboat crew to return to the station.
