Luke and Tara Skipper are the new managers at the Langbrook Farm Restaurant in Langstone and have raised over £1250 for the Hayling RNLI Lifeboat Station.

When the new local restaurant opened in the summer of 2014, they had several days when invited guests paid a set charge for their starters and desserts and the proceeds all went to charity. The original managers, together with Luke and Tara, wanted to support a local charity and chose the Hayling Island Lifeboats. Luke and Tara are pictured in front of their charity wall holding the Certificate of Thanks from the RNLI. Luke said ‘We wanted to give back to the local community that support us and we looked for a charity on Hayling. The RNLI Lifeboat Station is ideal as its run by community minded volunteers who carry out rescues in very challenging conditions.’

We are very grateful to the restaurant and look forward to a continuing liaison. Their donation will enable us to go on setting out to sea to save lives.
