Net Recovery

In rough weather it may be required to recover the boat using the net recovery procedure. This is where we secure a net to the DODO (click here for more information on DODO) and the boat drives into the net at a speed of 6 knots bow first.

The boat will approach the DODO twice to check it is in the right place, once the helm is happy he will approach a third time and drive into the net. The helm will signal when the boat is ready to be pulled out.

Now the boat is on the trailer safely but it is the wrong way. So we now need to turn it around, to do this the boat is lifted on the turntable. Once the carriage is removed the boat can be turned 180 degrees, then the carriage comes back and the boat in lowered onto the carriage.
